Effects of micro-video health education combined with systematic psychological intervention on post-traumatic growth and self-efficacy in rectal cancer patients undergoing surgery
Objective To explore the effects of micro-video health education combined with systematic psychologi-cal intervention on post-traumatic growth(PTG)and self-efficacy in rectal cancer patients undergoing surgery.Method A total of 120 patients with rectal cancer were divided into combination group(n=65)and control group(n=55)according to different intervention programs.Patients in control group received routine intervention, and patients in combination group received micro-video health education combined with systematic psychological intervention on the basis of control group.PTG(PTG scale),self-efficacy[strategies used by people to promote health(SUPPH)],quality of life[World Health Organization quality of life scale-100(WHOQOL-100)]and complications were compared between the two groups.Result After intervention, the scores of all dimensions of PTG,SUPPH and WHOQOL-100 in two groups were higher than those before intervention, and the scores of all dimensions of PTG,SUPPH and WHOQOL-100 in the combi-nation group were higher than those in the control group, the differences were statistically significant(P<0.05).The total incidence of complications in combination group was lower than that in control group, and the difference was statistically significant(P<0.05).Conclusion Micro-video health education combined with systematic psychological intervention can significantly improve the PTG and self-efficacy of patients with rectal cancer, improve their quality of life, and re-duce the incidence of complications.
