Preparation of Bimetallic UiO-66( Cu/Zr) MOFs and Their Enhanced Adsorption Studies on Congo Red
Congo red is a highly carcinogenic benzidine dye.UiO-66 ( Cu/Zr) bimetallic MOFs were pre-pared by a one-step hydrothermal synthesis method for the adsorption of Congo red in water in this study. The uniform entry of Cu2+ into the organic skeleton of UiO-66 was confirmed by scanning electron micros-copy energy dispersive( SEM-EDS) mapping. The results showed that the maximum adsorption capacity of UiO-66 ( Cu/Zr ) for Congo red is 498.5 mg · g-1 , and the adsorption performance is significantly im-proved compared with that of UiO-66(268.0 mg·g-1).The adsorption of Congo red by UiO-66(Cu/Zr) fit the pseudo-second-order kinetic model (R2 =0.9997).
