Theoretical Tension between"Feudal Prince No-remarry"and"Huigong Remarries"
The marriage system of rinces in the Chunqiu Period mainly included the system of First Lady,Concubine and"No-remarry".The Gongyangzhuan roosed that"the marquises will not marry again",maintaining the system of first lady and first son inheritance,and reventing the abolition of legislation.Many times during the Chunqiu Period,marquises remarried,but the Chunqiu was taboo by not writing.The Gongyangzhuan put forward the theory that"the son is valued by the mother,and the mother is val-ued by the son".In the face of the theoretical tension formed by"No-marry"and"Huigong remarries",later scholars affirmed the theoretical value of"No-Remarry".This rovides insiration for the modern mo-nogamous marriage system.
