Cognitive Effort of Chinese Students in Machine Translation Post-editing Research in the Era of AI
It analyzed how Chinese students use machine translation and perform post-editing in foreign language learning from the perspective of a new type of human-machine symbiosis.The results indicated that most participants are unable to identify or correct errors related to omissions,spelling,unit conver-sion,function words,terminology,and word order.This demonstrated that machine translation post-editing is not an easy task.The results also showed with the guidance and help of teachers,Chinese students can significantly improve the quality of their post-editing by learning specific post-editing skills.
