Exploration of Talent Cultivation for Internationalization of Geology and Mining Engineering under the Background of New Engineering Disciplines
International talent cultivation in the field of geosciences is an essential requirement for cultiva-ting globally competent professionals in geosciences,providing high-level talent for the"Belt and Road"construction in the field of geosciences,and promoting the construction of top-tier disciplines with distinc-tive features in the industry.However,under the background of the new engineering disciplines,there are issues in the international talent cultivation in geosciences,such as lack of cultural confidence,a mismatch between the curriculum system,international dynamic development and international market demands,in-compatibility between teaching mode and scientific development.It takes a problem-oriented approach in the paper to explore the"supply-side"exploration of international talent cultivation in the field of geosci-ences.It discusses the cultivation of international talents from three aspects:establishing cultural confi-dence in geosciences,integrating the demands of geosciences from both international and domestic per-spectives,and exploring the teaching model of"geology+technology".
