Effect of Hewei Jiedu prescription on serum tumor-related factors and immune factors in patients with concurrent chemoradiotherapy for esophageal squamous cancer
Objective:To study the effect of Hewei Jiedu prescription on serum tumor-related factors,immune factors and inflammatory factors in patients with concurrent chemoradiotherapy ( CRT) for esophageal squamous cancer ( ESC) .Methods:A total of 84 patients with CRT were selected.According to the random number table method,they were divided into observation group and control group,42 cases in each group.The control group was treated with CRT,while the experimental group was treated with CRT and Hewei Jiedu prescription.The level of serum tumor-related factors[cytokeratin 19 fragment ( CYFRA 21-1 ),squamous cell carcinoma antigen (SCC),carcinoembryonic antigen (CEA)],the level of serum TBNK lymphocyte[CD3+,CD4+,CD8+,CD4+/CD8+],the level of serum inflammatory factors[interleukin-6 (IL-6),interleukin-8 (IL-8),tumor necrosis factor-α (TNF-α)]and TCM syndrome score of both group were observed before and after treatment.Results:After treatment,the serum levels of CYFRA 21-1,SCC and CEA in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.01).The levels of CD3+,CD4+,CD4+/CD8+in the observation group were higher than those in the control group,while the levels of CD8+were lower than that in the control group (P<0.01).The levels of IL-6,IL-8,TNF-α in the observation group were lower than those in the control group (P<0.01).The TCM syndrome score in the observation group was lower than that in the control group (P<0.01).Conclusions:Hewei Jiedu prescription can effectively kill ESC cells,reduce the level of tumor-related factors and improve the level of immune factors in patients with CRT for ESC.
