According to the gravestone inscription of Luo Chengsi,Luo Chengsi was a descendant of Luo Hongxin,the Weibo circuit governor in the late Tang Dynasty.The New and Old Books of Tang Dynasty have biographies of Luo Hongxin and his son Luo Shaowei,while the New and Old Books of the Five Dynasties have a biography of Luo Shaowei,but none of them provide detailed records of their genealogy.The gravestone inscription fills this gap.The gravestone inscriptions of Luo Chengsi and his wife Song are a reproduction of the career experiences of a grassroots military officer in the Song Dynasty.The gravestone inscriptions also fill in historical details about the interaction between grassroots military officers and famous scholars that are not found in extant historical documents,making them worthy of attention and exploration.
