Research Progress on Host Factor Required of Alpha-coronavirus Invasion
The genus α-coronavirus contains many members that pose a significant threat to animal husbandry,such as porcine epidemic diarrhea virus,porcine infectious gastroenteritis virus,feline infectious peritonitis virus,etc.The first step on infecting the host is to recognize receptors on the cell surface.Therefore,the analysis of the mechanisms of coronavirus invasion is of great significance for understanding the viral host spectrum and tissue tropism.This paper systematically summarizes the mechanisms of action of receptors and other co-factors required by α-coronaviruses to invade hosts in recent years.
