Pharmacological Effect of Yiye Anti-influenza Capsule on Dampness-heat Epidemic Virus Pneumonia Mice Infected by HCoV-229E
We investigated the pharmacological effects of Yiye anti-influenza capsule on mice with dampness-heat epidemic virus pneumonia caused by human coronavirus 229E(HCoV-229E)infection to provide a reference for its clinical application.HCoV-229E(nasal drops)was used to infect mice. The Lung Index and viral load,as well as the contents of prostaglandin(PGE)2 and cyclic adenosine monophosphate(cAMP)in the hypothalamus and contents of interleukin(IL)-6,IL-10 and tumor necrosis factor(TNF)-a in the lung tissue of mice were investigated in high-,medium-and low-dose groups of Yiye anti-influenza capsule(0.704 g/(kg·d),0.352 g/(kg·d)and 0.176 g/(kg·d)).The proportion of T-lymphocyte subsets and B lymphocytes in the peripheral blood of mice was detected, and chloroquine phosphate and Lianhua qingwen granules were used as positive controls. The three dose groups of Yiye anti-influenza capsule could reduce the Lung Index of mice. The high-dose group and medium-dose group could reduce the viral load of pneumonia-model mice. The contents of cAMP and PGE2 in the hypothalamus of mice in the three dose groups were decreased compared with those in the model group. The contents of TNF-α,IL-6 and IL-10 in lung tissue were decreased compared with those of the model group, and the difference was significant. The percentage of cluster of differentiation CD4+and CD8+T cells in peripheral blood of high-and medium-dose groups was higher than that of the model group, and the difference was significant. The percentage of B cells did not change significantly compared with that in the model group. Our results showed that Yiye anti-influenza capsule had a therapeutic effect on the mice model of pneumonia caused by HCoV-229E infection.
