Advances in the Application of High-throughput Sequencing Technology in the Study of Kaposi's Sarcoma
High-throughput sequencing technology, also known as second-generation sequencing technology, has the advantages of high-throughput,high-resolution and low-cost compared with the traditional first-generation sequencing technology. It has been widely used in the research of a variety of diseases and pathogenic microbiology, including tumor and tumor-related virology.High-throughput sequencing can comprehensively analyze the complex virus and host genomes, explore new gene subtypes and functions, and the pathways related to the pathogenesis of the virus,so as to provide basis for the diagnosis and treatment of related diseases.Kaposi's sarcoma is a multi-focal tumor derived from endothelial cells.Kaposi's sarcoma-associated herpesvirus(KSHV)is the key factor in the pathogenesis of Kaposi's sarcoma, but its pathogenic mechanism is still unclear.Kaposi's sarcoma has obvious geographical distribution characteristics, and KSHV genotypes in different regions are different.High-throughput sequencing technology has been used for KSHV and Kaposi's sarcoma gene detection and KSHV typing. This article reviews the application and findings of high-throughput sequencing technology,in order to provide reference for the pathogenesis, clinical diagnosis and treatment of Kaposi's sarcoma.
