The History and Current Status of Japanese Encephalitis Pathogen Research in Chinese Mainland
Japanese encephalitis virus(JEV)is a virus belonging to the family Flaviviridae,which infects human and animals through mosquito bites,causing a huge public health burden.JEVs has been isolated in China since the 1940s.Since then,a large number of studies have been carried out in virus isolation,transmission vector,JE vaccine,and some of the research results are in the international leading level.Based on the review of the history and present of JEV research in China,this paper puts forward the shortage of research and the future on JEV research in China,so as to promote the development of JEV research in China.
