With the rising demand for high quality animal-derived food,the farming industry has also become more dependent on the application of functional feed additives.Mulberry leaves contain a vari-ety of bioactive substances,which have been used as functional feed additives in the breeding indus-try.Flavonoids are important bioactive substances in mulberry leaves,which have the functions of an-tioxidant,regulating blood glucose,lowering blood lipids and enhancing immunity,etc.They can promote the growth and development of animals,enhance the immune ability and improve the quality of livestock and poultry products.This paper outlines the extraction and purification process,the composition of bioactive substances and the application of mulberry leaf flavonoids in the breeding in-dustry,aiming to provide reference for enhancing the utilization of mulberry leaf flavonoids.
