Xenia Effect of Different Pollination Varieties on the Fruit of'Apple-pear'
In order to investigate the xenia effect of different pear varieties on the fruit of'Apple-pear',the author selected four different varieties of'Hongzaosu''Lvzaosu''Lvbaoshi''Yuluxiang'as pollination trees, and conducted artificial pollination experiments on'Apple-pear'with good growth and over 40 years of age as pollination objects. The comprehensive analysis and evaluation of their fruit setting rate, fruit appearance, and internal quality were conducted. The results showed that each pollination variety had a significant impact on the fruit setting rate, appearance, internal quality, and seed collection rate of'Apple-pear'fruits,exhibiting a clear xenia effect.The'Apple-pear'pollinated with'Lvzaosu'has the highest fruit setting rate, but the single fruit weight was the smallest;The'Apple-pear'pollinated with'Lvbaoshi'has a moderate fruit setting rate and the lowest seed collection rate, but the single fruit weight, fruit type index, and flesh hardness were the highest, and the content of soluble solids, soluble sugars, and stone cells were the highest;The'Apple-pear'pollinated with'Hongzaosu'has moderate fruit setting and seed collection rates, the highest vitamin C content, but the lowest titratable acid and soluble solids content;The'Apple-pear'pollinated with'Yuluxiang'has the lowest fruit setting rate, moderate seed collection rate, the highest titratable acid content, and the lowest fruit type index and flesh hardness.Overall,'Lvbaoshi'pear was more suitable as a pollination variety for'Apple-pear'.
