Ecological Effect and Economic Benefit of Intercropping Soybeans in Young Fruit Trees
The author conducted a comparative experiment on the effects of planting soybeans between rows of fruit trees on the growth, environment, and benefits of young fruit trees. The experiment investigated the net height increase, weed growth, pest damage, and economic benefits of fruit trees with and without soybean planting. The results showed that there was no significant difference in net height increase of fruit trees between the two modes, indicating that inter row planting of soybeans had no effect on young fruit trees;planting soybeans between rows of fruit trees can effectively reduce grass damage in orchards and the harm of pests to fruit trees, reduce production costs, and effectively reduce investment in the young stage of fruit trees, greatly increasing the income of fruit farmers.
