The freezing damage during the dormancy period of sweet cherry has a significant impact on the safety of open field sweet cherry trees,not only affecting the yield of the following year,but also affecting the survival rate of transplanting.This article introduced the characteristics of freezing damage to dormant sweet cherry trees,and proposed prevention techniques including site selection,wind barriers,fertility and water management,rootstock varieties,soil covering,antifreeze water,and proposesd disaster reduction techniques from including watering before germination,delaying pruning,thinning flowers and fruits,strengthening nutrition,and preventing and controlling pests and diseases.
