Structure of Urban Green Space and Creation of Habitat for Birds
Urbanization has negative impacts on biodiversity of urban birds. The structure of urban green space is one important determinant for birds to choose habitat. Basing on analyzing some characteristics of the structure of urban green space influencing biodiversity of birds, such as park area, connectivity, Insularization, this paper gives 5 principles of creating habitat for urban birds by planning and designing of the structure of urban green space, and discusses specific methods of protecting urban natural reserved area, establishing green belt, building green corridor along roads and bank of rivers, urban greening at special sites, building multi - level plant community.
