Ecological and Environmental Protection Experiences of Japanese Lake Biwa and Its Inspirations to China
Water ecological environmental protection(WEEP)is an important content of the construction of ecological civilization and is the key step for economic and social sustainable development of China.Some successful experiences of Lake Biwa WEEP in Shiga were summarized and analyzed.Reasons that lead to the success of Lake Biwa WEEP are that the environmental protection movement involved all the local people,design of the rational administrative system about Lake Biwa protection and the high spirit of the local enterprise toward the environment in Shiga.Five suggestions were put forward for WEEP in China.
