Radiation Environmental Impact Study for Neutron Activation Reaction Nuclear Technology Project
In order to scientifically and accurately evaluate the radiation environmental impact during the operation of a neutron acti-vation nuclear technology project,a neutron generator logging test project was taken as an example.PHTIS software based on Monte Carlo method was used to simulate the actual operation of the neutron generator.According to the simulation results, the specific activity of the induced radionuclides produced after neutron activation can be calculated to determine whether the activated parts need to be disposed of as radioactive waste. The perineutron dose rate and γ-ray dose rate generated by activated nucleus were calculated, and the annual ef-fective dose caused by external exposure was evaluated. The feasibility of Monka simulation for estimating the annual effective dose was verified by comparing with the field monitoring results.Radiation protection concerns are determined by mapping the dose rate distribution around the laboratory. It provides reference for the radiation environmental impact analysis and radiation protection of nuclear technology utilization projects involving neutron activation reactions.
