Research on the Competitiveness and Complementarity of Digital Service Trade——Analysis based on the China Central Asia West Asia Economic Corridor
With the acceleration of"new infrastructure"and the rapid development of digital technologies such as 5G,cloud computing,and artificial intelligence,countries are paying increasing attention to digital service trade.Based on the data of digital service trade in major countries in the China-Central Asia-West Asia Economic Corridor from 2012 to 2021,this paper analyzes the development status of digital service trade in the corridor,and uses the trade co mpetition index RCA and trade complementar ity index to conduct competitive and complementary research from the development of the corridor as a whole and the countries in the corridor.It is found that the scale of digital service trade in the China-Central Asia-West Asia Economic Corridor is quite different,the scale of digital service trade in the Chinese corridor is significantly higher than that of other corridors,the digital service trade structure of various countries is relatively single,and the overall dependence of the corridor on foreign countries is too high.In addition,the competitiveness and complementarity of digital service trade in the corridor are relatively low,and the competitiveness of the West Asia corridor is slightly greater than that of China and Central Asia,but the development level of digital service trade in major countries in the West Asian corridor is quite different.From the perspective of the development level of digital service trade in corridor countries,digital service trade in most countries shows a fluctuating upward trend,and the corridor digital service trade market has great potential and strong development.In the future development,countries in the corridor need to actively cooperate,give full play to their respective advantages,work together to develop core technologies,and improve the international competitiveness of digital service trade in the corridor.
