Digital Economy on China's Foreign Trade Development——An Empirical Analysis Based on Panel Data of 30 Provinces in China
Digital economy is an important driving force for the development of foreign trade in China.Based on the panel data of 30 provinces(cities)in China from 2014-2021,the article comprehensively measures the development level of digital economy,and analyzes the impact of digital economy on China's foreign trade development and its mechanism of action using two-way fixed model and mediating effect model with human capital as the mediating variable.The study shows that:the development of digital economy has a significant role in promoting China's foreign trade,and the conclusion still holds after the robustness test;human capital plays a significant mediating role in the development of China's foreign trade driven by the digital economy,indicating that the improvement of labor quality is an important path to promote the development of foreign trade in the context of the booming digital economy.Based on this,the construction of digital infrastructure should be strengthened to continuously promote the development of foreign trade empowered by the digital economy;support the improvement of human capital level to provide talent support for the development of foreign trade driven by the data economy.
