Research on the influencing factors of cross-border e-commerce consumer goods imports in China——Based on the trade gravity model
Consumer goods play an important role in China's cross-border e-commerce imports, and promoting the import of cross-border e-commerce consumer goods will help to improve the low proportion of consumer goods in total imports. This paper selects the data of the top ten countries in China's cross-border e-commerce consumer goods imports from 2016 to 2020 to expand the trade gravity model and empirically analyze the relevant influencing factors. The regression results show that the level of per capita income in China and the development level of cross-border e-commerce in trading countries play a significant role in promoting the import of cross-border e-commerce consumer goods. In addition, changes in exchange rate and tariff levels will also have a significant impact on the import volume.China should steadily promote high-quality economic development, vigorously develop the construction of imported cross-border e-commerce,and further reduce the import tariff level of consumer goods.
