A Study on China's Digital Trade Potential of RCEP Member Countries:Based on a Stochastic Frontier Gravity Model
With the rapid development of the Internet, the digital economy has become a new engine for the development of international trade. In 2022,the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement signed by China with the 10 ASEAN countries,Japan,South Korea,New Zealand and Australia came into effect, which means that the world's most promising free trade area has officially set sail. This paper explores the potential of China's digital trade with RCEP member countries from 2010 to 2021 by establishing a stochastic frontier gravity model. The empirical results show that China's digital trade potential with RCEP member countries varies greatly, and there is still a lot of room for expansion of China's digital trade exports.Based on this, three suggestions were put forward, including strengthening the construction of digital infrastructure, promoting the signing or implementation of free trade agreements, and improving the core competitiveness of digital products.
