Local Semantic Expression of Homestay Architecture:Design of Liuhu Yangshanju Homestay
Based on the theory of local architectural design,taking the Liuhu Yangshanju homestay as an exam-ple,the aim is to create a homestay building that integrates local natural and cultural environment by extracting the semantics of local architecture.Guided by the design method of local architecture,different functional build-ings of Liuhu Yangshanju were selected as the design objects,by interpreting the prototype of local architecture and processing the relationship between the design site and landscape,the design of homestays was determined based on the plane layout,exterior shape,and landscape orientation.The case study found that the expression of local semantics is the inheritance and response of local architectural forms to the site environment.The local de-sign concept reflected in Liuhu Yangshanju homestay contributes to the emergence of exclusive architectural de-sign language for homestays.
