Analysis of the Effect of Plain Wall on Suspended Precipitation of Subway Foundation Pit and Its Impact on the Surrounding Environment
Based on the engineering background of using suspended dewatering in the foundation pit of a subway station in a certain city,this study compared and analyzed the changes in water head,surrounding buildings,and ground settlement under two schemes of setting and not setting plain walls through three-dimensional numerical simulation.The study also investigated the impact of plain walls on the suspended dewatering effect of subway sta-tion foundation pits and the surrounding environment.The results indicate that suspended dewatering can effec-tively lower the pressurized water level in the foundation pit to a safe elevation,and is an economically reason-able measure to resist sudden surges.By increasing the depth of the plain wall to enhance the effect of the water-proof curtain,the flow path of the confined water can be effectively increased,reducing the impact of precipita-tion on the confined water level outside the pit and thus reducing the risk of ground settlement outside the pit.
