The Social Policy of Unmarried Procreation in China:from Constraint to Acquiescence
The unmarried procreation policy of our country is under adjustment.Recently the policy gives support to unwed mothers in terms of the children's household registration,and reproductive insurance and allowance.It indicates that with regards to unmarried procreation,our country has changed from past constraint to recent acquiescence.In the process of the second popula-tion transition,many developed countries experience high rate of unmarried procreation,and these countries have established sup-portive policies to unmarried mothers in terms of economy,employment,residence,taxation,social relief,which has greatly im-proved the life quality of unmarried mothers.The paper points out that with the increase of unwed mothers,it's an irresistible trend to give unwed mothers support in policy,and this is also in alliance with the change of population structure in our country.
