Research on corrosion characteristics of TA2+Q345B rolling composite plate cladding
Titanium/steel composite plate is widely used in the chemical industry, marine, and other fields due to its excellent corrosion resistance and structural properties.Because the rolling process of composite plates needs to consider characteristics of both titanium and steel, the process is slightly different from the traditional production process of single materials, and whether the interdiffusion of elements at the metallurgical bonding interface affects the microstructure and corrosion properties of the coating TA2 needs to be studied. The effect of interfacial elements interdiffusion on the microstructure and corrosion properties of TA2 coating was studied using microstructure observation, energy spectrum test, and electrochemical corrosion experiment. The results indicate that the interdiffusion distance of elements at the metallurgical bonding interface is only 8-10 μm,which is not enough to affect the microstructure of the entire coating. The TA2 coating corrosion resistant film has repeated corrosion in the initial stage of film formation, but with the extension of static time,it gradually stabilizes and no corrosion occurs.
