Process practice of hydrogen content control after heavy rail vacuum treatment
The hazards of hydrogen to heavy rail steel were described.The detection method and the main source of hydrogen in molten steel in large-scale production were briefly introduced.The process flow of converter-LF furnace-RH furnace-continuous casting was analyzed.From the changes and sources of hydrogen in RH vacuum treatment,after RH vacuum treatment,soft blowing and casting process,determining the improper control of the soft blowing process after vacuum treatment is one of the main sources of hydrogen increase in tundish.The effective measures to control hydrogen increase after vacuum treatment of heavy rail steel were put forward,which can achieve hydrogen mass fraction ≤1.00×10-6.
