Production practice of increasing the number of tundish continuous casting furnaces
Through an in-depth analysis of the factors affecting the number of tundish continuous casting furnaces,combined with the contract structure,equipment situation and production logistics characteristics of Zhanjiang Iron & Steel,the measures to improve the number of continuous casting furnaces of Zhanjiang Iron & Steel are put forward and implemented,and it has been proved through practice that the upper limit of the number of continuous casting furnaces of steel grades was increased by up to 60%by taking measures such as improving the life of refractories,optimizing the division of labor of casting machines,increasing the upper limit of the number of continuous casting furnaces of steel grades,optimizing the contract structure and production organization,and strengthening on-site operation management.The internal impact of steelmaking on the number of tundish continuous casting furnaces decreased by 61.29%,and the number of tundish continuous casting furnaces in Zhanjiang Iron & Steel in 2023 increased by 1.9 furnaces/tundish compared with those in 2021,with significant improvement.
