Analysis of the typical surface defects in hot-rolled strip for pipeline steel
For several typical surface defects in hot-rolled strip for pipeline steel, including the surface cracks, surface warping and surface inclusion, the fundamental causes of these defects were identified by analyzing the macroscopic morphology, distribution characteristics, microstructure and chemical composition of the defects. The results indicate that X52 pipeline steel surface cracks and L415 pipeline steel surface warpings are generated during hot rolling, while X60 pipeline steel surface inclusions are caused by slab porosity defects.Based on these results, appropriate control measures were taken, and all the above-mentioned surface defects were effectively resolved.
