Research on the local corrosion behavior of TC4 titanium alloy in different solution media using wire beam electrode
The local corrosion behavior of TC4 titanium alloy in different media was studied using wire beam electrode technique.A new evaluation method for studying the local corrosion behavior of titanium alloys was provided.The wire beam electrode,as one of the methods for studying the local corrosion behavior of metal materials,has unique advantages.Unlike traditional electrochemical methods,which can only capture the overall electrochemical information of the metal surface,wire beam electrode can simulate the potential and current distribution in different regions of the entire metal surface through the coupling of a single small electrode.It is found that the local corrosion behavior of TC4 titanium alloy in different media is different.The local corrosion phenomenon is the most serious in acidic medium,and there is no obvious local corrosion behavior in alkaline medium.The transient current change of local corrosion process can be measured effectively by the wire beam electrode technology,and more specific local corrosion information can be obtained compared with the traditional electrode.
