Carrying Forward the Tradition of Reading and Further Promoting Nationwide Reading
This paper discusses the strategic role of deepening nationwide reading played in the construction of a cultural power and national rejuvenation from the two aspects of the tradition of reading and the cultivating of a public who can shoulder the responsibility of promoting Chinese path to modernization.This paper also summarizes six distinctive characteristics of Chinese people's reading tradition,so as to clarify the root of the in-depth development of contemporary nationwide reading.Therefore,it is necessary to continue to promote the high-quality development of nationwide reading,ensure the production and supply of high-quality contents,build a high-quality reading platform,strengthen high-quality reading guidance,and provide high-quality reading services,so as to promote the construction of a reading-loving society.
