From Sora to AGI:Intelligent Media Upgrading and the Dawning of the New Scenario-Based Experience Era
As a new generation of large visual models,Sora makes the generating text to video technology realize the leap from"usable"to"good".Behind its development is the possibility of realizing embodied intelligence,world model and then moving towards general artificial intelligence.Sora is essentially a major upgrading of intelligent media,enabling value generation with spatial and time dimensions,which will profoundly affect the digital practice of human beings and open the prelude to digital civilization.The significance of Sora lies in the fact that,firstly,the large-scale content production has been upgraded from text-based unimodal to image-based multimodal.Secondly,human cognition,learning and communication will enter the scenario-based experience era.Finally,the new scenario-based experience means that value connections can be established with finer granularity,higher degree of freedom and stronger affordance.Sora's technological revolution will also have a profound impact on the value of journalism and communication theory.On the one hand,the future communication needs to penetrate into the whole link of public cognition,and assist the public to participate in governance and create value.On the other hand,future communication will need to connect circles as well as promote mutual understanding and consensus-building among individuals in the circles.
