The paper researched and analyzed the current situations of competition item setting in National Sport Meeting; the main expression forms of current competition item setting situations were the following： the imbalance of competition item setting, the distinctive nationality and territory, the insufficient degree of flexibility and popularizing, the unbalance setting of male and female items. Then, in view of current situations of competition item setting in National Sports Meeting, this paper maintained the competition items setting would develop towards ＂weakening - competition＂ and hormonalcompetition, paying more attention on fitness effect and entertainment value of them.
