As one of the important media to continue the excellent traditional culture of our country, the national traditional sports curriculum in colleges and universities is not only the living inheritance of national traditional sports culture, but also the practice subject for students to understand the charm of traditional culture. Digital transformation and high-quality development are the inevitable trend of the reform of the traditional national sports teaching mode in colleges and universities at the new stage of development. Based on this, this paper uses the methods of literature, interview, case analysis and logical analysis to objectively analyze the cause of formation, practice path and innovation results of the reform of traditional national sports teaching mode in colleges and universities. The main purpose is to share experience from top-level design, resource integration, internal reform, external support, etc, So as to better promote the sustainable and healthy development of the traditional sports teaching mode in colleges and universities.
