To achieve high-quality development of traditional sports projects of the Hezhe ethnic group, foster a sense of community consciousness among the Chinese nation, and utilize research methods such as literary materials and logical reasoning, an exposition of the historical origins of traditional sports projects of the Hezhe ethnic group has been conducted, along with an analysis of the inheritance challenges they face, leading to the proposal of a new path for development in the modern era. Research indicates that the transmission challenges faced by traditional sports projects of the Hezhe ethnic group are constituted by factors such as changes in production methods, absolute and relative population decline, inadequate self-system construction, and the influence of Western competitive sports culture invasion.The path for the current era involves implementing the consciousness of forging a unified Chinese nation, creating a synergistic and symbiotic model. It includes the establishment of campus community platforms to foster collaboration and collectively promote the inheritance and continuity of traditional sports projects. Additionally, organizing ethnic sports competitions aims to strengthen the internal emotional bonds and cultural identity while expanding the integration between various ethnic groups externally.
