On Family Influencing Factors of Physical Activity Participation of Children and Adolescents and the Promoting Strategies——An Analysis Based on Bourdieu's Theory of Practice
A systematic review of the associations between family factors and physical activity in children and adolescents was conducted using literature-based and logical analysis methods.Family socio-economic status and parental encouragement and modeling were positively associated with physical activity in children and adolescents;urban-rural differences and family structure did not consistently affect children and adolescents. From the perspective of Bourdieu's social practice theory, the negative impact of family factors on children's and adolescents'physical activity is mainly caused by insufficient family capital and barriers to family habitus, which make it challenging to build a family environment conducive to physical activity practice.Measures can be taken to improve the physical activity level of children and adolescents by enhancing capital security for the construction of family sports fields, breaking down the hierarchical habitus of parenting, and creating"habitus resonance"of sports participation within the family.
