Wushu serve as a "window" for English-speaking countries to understand China,playing a crucial role in the international dissemination of Chinese traditional culture. However,the translation of Wushu terminology poses a significant challenge for translators due to its deep-rooted Chinese culture connotations. This article aims to explore the English translation of Wushu terminology in director Kar-wai Wong's film The Grandmaster by employing Aixelá' translation strategies for culture-specific items. Through data statistics and case analysis,we seek to identify effective strategies for resolving translation difficulties related to Wushu terminology.
