This paper aims to explore how Lingnan folk sports promote the national identity mechanism among young people in the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area. Through research,it is found that cognition,emotion,and behavior are key mechanisms for promoting national identity. The essence,memory,and symbols of Lingnan folk sports can evoke young people's identification with culture,identity,and nation. At the levels of government,society,and schools,we propose relevant pathways to promote national identity among young people in a multi-faceted manner. This is of great significance and strategic value for realizing the Chinese dream of the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation.
