Analysis of Nanzhiquan Technical Performance Characteristics and Adaptability
This study employs methods such as literature review and field research to systematically analyze and elucidate the technical performance characteristics and adaptability of Nanzhiquan,a representative Wushu style in the Chaoshan region.The research concludes that the performance style of Nanzhiquan is characterized by "able to attack and defend,striking after the opponent,""punching in confined spaces,simple and practical," and "quick advances and retreats,continuous offense and defense." Its combat style features "strength against strength,hard force confrontation,""soft overcoming hard,adding force," and "weak overcoming strong,dividing force to win." These characteristics are closely linked to the history and culture of the Chaoshan region.As a distinctive style within the Lingnan Wushu system,Nanzhiquan possesses features that make it adaptable to modern society,including cultural adaptability,educational adaptability,and health adaptability.Analyzing its technical features and social adaptability not only allows for a reevaluation and in-depth exploration of the profound and rich inherent content of Lingnan Wushu but also provides new theoretical paradigms and practical guidance for its modern transformation through a "maintaining tradition while innovating" approach.
