This paper explores the main problems and solutions faced by the modern sports lifestyle in rural areas of China in the new era using literature review methods.Research has found that in the new era,modern sports in rural areas are facing a shortage of sports venues,equipment and facilities,as well as insufficient basic material conditions;The sports development system and mechanism are not sound,and the competition is not smooth;The loss of young and middle-aged farmers is severe,and the endogenous motivation is insufficient;The main problems include a shortage of sports professionals and inadequate intellectual support.The targeted solutions proposed include:increasing investment in rural sports resources and consolidating the material foundation;Improve the development system and mechanism of rural sports,and expand the space for sports events;Improve the level of rural economic development and create a good cultural atmosphere for participating in modern physical exercise;Widely mobilize social forces and build a service system for rural sports talents.
