Evaluation of habitat suitability of Great Bustard in Yellow River wetland based on Landsat8 images
In response to the deepening of habitat fragmentation and the damage to habitat in wetland bird reserves, this paper took the Great Bustard in the Yellow River Wetland of Xinxiang as the research object. It selected eight evaluation factors, including habitat type, vegetation factor, water factor, food factor, forest distance, road distance, village distance, and residential land. Using Landsat8 remote sensing image data and geographic information system (GIS) technology, the paper built a suitable habitat evaluation model for Great Bustard. The results indicate that although the habitat suitability of Great Bustard in the Yellow River wetland in Xinxiang is generally at a good level, there has been a trend of decreasing habitat area, shorting food sources, and increasing human activity areas and construction land. Relevant departments need to pay attention to it and take relevant measures.
