Application of unmanned aerial vehicles and unmanned ships in comprehensive management of water environment
This article proposed a method that combined unmanned aerial vehicle (UAV) aerial photography with water depth measurement by unmanned ships and depth finders to address the issues of low efficiency and high cost in the preliminary basic surveying and mapping work of traditional comprehensive management of the water environment. The research results indicate that this method has high mapping efficiency, low cost, and small field workload. The produced digital elevation model (DEM) has good cutting and splicing effects, with a mapping accuracy of digital line graphic (DLG) of 21.3 cm in the plane, and the elevation accuracy reaches 20.8 cm. Therefore, the model meets the technical requirements for surveying in water transportation engineering.
