White model reconstruction method of buildings based on topological relationship graph
The new fundamental surveying and mapping is the inheritance and development of traditional fundamental surveying and mapping, which requires the development of a new series of basic geographic information products.Geographic entities are important achievements in new fundamental surveying and mapping, while three-dimensional(3D) models of buildings are one of the important artificial geographic entity achievements. How to quickly and efficiently construct 3D models of buildings is one of the crucial steps in promoting the production of geographic entities. Starting from the perspective of white model reconstruction of buildings, this paper studied the automated construction of white models of buildings by employing a topological relationship graph. Based on the building laser point cloud of fine classification, the density clustering method was adopted to identify light detection and ranging (LiDAR) foot points of individual buildings. The building point cloud was segmented by employing the novel normal vector and curvature estimation-based region growing method. The method based on alpha-shape was applied to extract the contour of the top of buildings, and the adjacency relationship graph between building roof surfaces was constructed.Further, the plane-intersecting building structure lines were extracted. Finally, the goal of reconstructing the white model of buildings was achieved.
