Accuracy evaluation of mapping in difficult areas in western China based on Gaofen-7 stereoscopic images
In order to evaluate the accuracy of Gaofen-7 stereoscopic mapping in mountainous and high-altitude areas in western China and verify the accuracy of Gaofen-7 laser altimetry data, multiple image control point layout schemes were used for block adjustment based on Gaofen-7 stereoscopic images, and the impact of different schemes on accuracy was analyzed. The results show that when the seven-point scheme is used for block adjustment, the mean square error of plane of the stereoscopic model is 0.90 m,and that of elevation is 0.93 m,both meeting the 1∶10 000 mapping requirements of mountainous and high-altitude areas. It is also verified that the accuracy of laser altimetry data in the area is 0.74 m.The use of laser altimetry data can improve the accuracy of stereoscopic imaging of stereoscopic images with few or even no ground control points, providing technical support for the production of terrain data in difficult areas in western China.
