Drawing building facade drawing based on 3D laser point cloud
Traditional surveying and mapping methods, which rely on satellite positioning receivers, total stations, distance meters, and other equipment, often face difficulties in accurately surveying building facades due to the influence of structural and site conditions, resulting in low operational efficiency and failing to meet the needs of engineering applications. To address this engineering challenge,a comprehensive set of solutions for building facade data acquisition and facade drawing was developed through an analysis of scanner principles and practical experiences. The solutions utilized technologies such as ground-based three-dimensional (3D) laser scanning, panoramic image acquisition, point cloud processing, and facade orthorectification image generation. Practical applications have demonstrated the solutions' accuracy, reliability, stability, and efficiency, verifying their significant advantages over traditional surveying and mapping methods. The solutions are well-suited for facade drawing in current urban building renovations.
