Expression and design of map for urban geographical name culture
In view of the shortcomings of the current design and research on maps for urban geographical name culture,this paper took the innovative integration and expression of maps and geographical name culture as the research goal and used the design and implementation of Tracing the Beauty of Hanyang Geographical Names:Map of Hanyang District Geographical Name Culture as a case to integrate the determination of cultural themes,the extraction of urban geographical name culture,and graphical of cultural information into the technical framework of traditional cartography. As a result,the paper constructed a culture mapping process combining hand-drawn maps and traditional map compilation. The specific map compilation steps of urban geographical name culture were clarified from three aspects:determination of theme content,map expression and design,and map binding,so as to provide a reference for the design of the map for urban geographical name culture.
