In recent years,with the continuous improvement of surveying and mapping science and technology,three-dimensional(3D)laser scanning technology has been widely applied in the renovation of old residential areas.However,traditional surveying and mapping methods fail to simultaneously meet the efficiency and accuracy requirements of indoor and outdoor surveying and mapping in old residential areas.Therefore,this paper proposed a method of using 3D laser scanning technology to quickly conduct indoor and outdoor surveying and mapping in old residential areas.This method had a high degree of automation in data collection and processing,improved the efficiency and accuracy of surveying and mapping,and ensured safety and quality in the renovation and construction of old residential areas,providing important reference data for the renovation of old residential areas.
