Ecological environment quality evaluation of Lanbei New Town based on improved RSEI
The remote sensing ecological index(RSEI)is an important means of ecological environment quality evaluation.Based on the Landsat remote sensing images of Lanbei New Town in 2000,2010,2016,and 2022,the principal component analysis(PCA)method was used to couple the greenness, humidity, heat, and improved dryness index information, and the RSEI suitable for arid and semi-arid areas was constructed. The changes in ecological environment quality in Lanbei New Town from 2000 to 2022 were quantitatively evaluated by means of classification research and difference calculation. The results show that the average RSEI values of Lanbei New Town in 2000,2010,2016,and 2022 are 0.395,0.499,0.564,and 0.467,respectively.From 2000 to 2010,the continuous advancement of greening projects in the north and south mountains has increased vegetation coverage and improved ecological environment quality. From 2010 to 2016,the area of vegetation cover, housing construction, and artificial excavation land has increased, and the improvement of ecological environment quality is greater than the deterioration,so the overall situation is good. From 2016 to 2022,urban expansion has intensified, and housing construction and artificial excavation has increased. The ecological environment quality has slightly decreased. In general, from 2000 to 2022,the ecological environment quality of Lanbei New Town has been improved.
