Based on the two dimensions of"individual-group"of self-identity,we explore how archives promote the identity of individuals and the Chinese nation.In the individual dimen-sion,archives construct the individual self-identi-ty through the process of multiple identity confir-mation and awakening the individual identity.In the group dimension,archives play an important role in the process of creating the common mem-ory of the Chinese nation,containing the"cultural origin"to form the group emotional attachment,and recording the process of realizing the great rejuvenation of the Chinese nation,so as to con-struct the self-identity of the Chinese national group.Finally,this paper discusses how to strengthen self-identity from the aspects of clari-fying identity belonging,inheriting national collec-tive memory and connecting common emotions.
