Since the introduction of photogra-phy to Beijing in the 1860s,local photo studios have sprung up like mushrooms after rain.Under the collision of Chinese and Western cultures,photography practitioners in Beijing have ex-plored the localization of the art and business model of the photography studios through inno-vative methods such as changing the setting and props of the studios,adding photography forms,coloring photos combined with traditional Chi-nese culture and art in order to make the studios catering to Chinese customers.These measures have enabled photo studios in Beijing to form unique shooting styles in the fusion of Chinese and Western cultures.These measures not only changed the traditional artistic aesthetic con-cepts of the public but also promoted the devel-opment of photography industry in Beijing in the Late Qing Dynasty and early Republic of China.
